I also find cleaning (a task I dread and put off) especially the kitchen helps give me a little reset! So does a shower, the water is a good way to reboot. ❤️

What a lovely way to bring words to this whole experience. I’ll carry the idea of reboot with me for some time!

NOW I see what the incident at work yesterday was there to teach me! I had to reboot my computer for a few hours at the most busy and stressful time at work, and it threw me out of my tracks for the rest of the day. But it was ME who needed a reboot 😊

Haha! Maybe we should try to see the computer-reboot as a little micro space to reboot ourselves too. Instead of just sitting there fuming 😂

I also love the feeling of loosing yourself in something and allowing it to completely consume you. Naturally, after such and episode, I feel a sort of emptiness and lostness occurs. It’s a time for reflection. And it definitely calls for some rebooting.

I think especially when you aim to live a purposeful, creative life you have to reboot, or reset, at regular intervals because the world is constantly out to put you off track. At least that’s my experience. I need to revisit my goals/intentions/motivations and my “good routines”. Typically, my reboots include prepping good food, cutting down on screentime, reflection time (journaling, walks in silence) and cleaning up and making the house more ordered and less chaotic. 😁

"The world is constantly out to put you off track" - hear hear! I agree about the need to revisit intentions often, to not get too side-tracked. Even if a fun side-quest can be very worthwhile as well. :)

It's funny how cleaning (more mundane) and journaling (more intentional) goes hand in hand here. Order in space and mind, I suppose!

I go through this about one weekend a month and I love the idea of it being a "reboot weekend." To me, slowing down and doing nothing is just as important as crossing a million things off my list. For me, the cleaning is a big part of that as well. But I do love how you focus on eating or other tasks without needing your earbuds playing music, a podcast or audiobook. That's something my always multi-tasking self will attempt during my next reboot weekend.

One weekend a month sounds very reasonable to me! Definitely just as important to slow down and do nothing. I also have multi-tasking tendencies, and I really like a break from it now and then, when the brain is starting to feel a bit fried.

This reminded me of a poem which I was commissioned to set to music a couple of years ago: https://youtu.be/oHXpn2V7akM?si=WLEGyx0BMAZJfKdh

Ah, that's beautiful! A universal experience, it seems, the finding and losing oneself :)

Nice to do a reboot. It is necessary so that we can kind of start again with life and all the joy and challenges it brings. Highly recommended 🙂🙂🙂
